Graduation

March 30, 2016 Clerkship Day 208 Day 3 on Rehabilitation Medicine I received a text message from my dear cousin yesterday: "Ungud (couz), are you free tomorrow? Ama is asking if you're free..." it read. Yayang (as we call her way back then) is my first cousin and a childhood friend, a humble daughter of my favorite maternal uncle. She's also in Medschool and we're on the same year (4th year). Right after reading her message, I was immediately reminded about something: IT'S HER GRADUATION DAY ALREADY! I was not on duty that day but I still have to go to PGH and attend to my patients. I was only free after 4:30 PM, I told her and her father. I really wanted to attend the graduation ceremony and witness and feel that "feeling" of seeing your batch-mates (from other medschool) finally stepping up to the stage... receiving their fruits of labor... their diplomas... and being called "Dr. So-and-so". Clerkship Day 45: Community Health

Image
Assalamu Alaykum! (Peace be upon you!) We are already halfway through FCH 251: Integrated Clerkship II in Family and Community Medicine. Our Sub-group, Block 7A recently ended our 2-week rotation at Community Medicine. Alhamdulillah, another wonderful experience to share ^_^ We started our first week doing the 3-day orientations (yes, I'm serious!): Orientations at Manila Health Department, Fabella Health Center, then Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) in UP-PGH, and so on. The rest of the week were spent on two things: Doing consultations and Public health lectures at Fabella Health Center (FCH) and attending SGDs and lectures. We also have our two-time 10-hr duty at the Ambulatory Dept (AMBU) during the weekends.  The first of three orientations! haha With our awesome LO Axis at the meeting/waiting area: the undying medstones! The Consultations Area. That awesome painting at the back gives much more life (?) to this place. Al t hough the o...

Eidul Adha Day 2

Image
This is another personal post. :) The Second day was not so jampacked with schedules. I woke up feeling lightheaded and having this feeling of getting sick, but nothing serious. It was raining last night when I came home, and guess who never brings any umbrella? Yes you guessed right, it was me alright haha. I actually planned on spending the whole day reading or writing in Bubblews.com  but due to my not-so-well feeling and the on-and-off wifi, I was not able to do much; until my uncle called me, and asked if I could meet him.  He was in Manila for the Bar Ops. I just remembered that it was actually the start of the Bar examinations and my uncle, a 3 rd year Law student in Zambales is helping out in the bar ops. I went out to meet him, we had lunch together and the usual debates and discussions followed haha. Yeah, sorry we do that often. It’s a family hobby. LOL, just kidding, it was only between the two of us. Politics, law, history, family legends, personal liv...
