Serving the Muslim Community

Community works are things I always love doing. Spending time serving your people is something worth spending your life with. Not just that is so satisfying to the 'heart', you will also feel 'accomplished ' and 'angelic' or ' good'  every time you do something that somehow helped other people.  And Ramadhan is the greatest time to do it. Where all your blessings will be multiplied by the Great Creator, InshaAllah! I am proud to present and yet humbly inviting everyone to attend and participate in one of these two 'great' opportunities to serve the Muslim Community here in Mindanao. First is the Ramadhan Medical Mission in Zamboanga City to be initiated by Young Moro Professionals Network (YMPN) Western Mindanao tomorrow; and the other one is the Grand Qiyamul Layl 2011: a One-night Vigi l by United Voices for Peace Network (UVPN) in Cotabato City on August 26-27. I have included the posters and links for more information regarding these matt...

HELP the FLOOD VICTIMS in COTABATO!

We have heard the recent calamity that had fallen upon our brothers in Cotabato. Indeed this is another challenging event for us to rise up again in every fall we meet along the road. As of the moment, Alhamdulillah, a lot of relief operations are being done throughout Mindanao from both our Muslim brothers and non-Muslim Friends. it is in this regard that I am asking everyone out there to share any amount of blessing you have. Be it in a single peso or any used clothes to be sent to those in need. It is now high time for us to show how strong our brotherhood is! For any donations (in any area you are) pls follow the badge in this blog's Sidebar (That small picture in the right.) Salam kasilasa! Allah knows every single parcel of idea, effort and prayers we give. He will certainly give the reward in millionfolds in the Hereafter InshaAllah! Wassalam.

(A story of how a group of young Tausugs made a Tsunami of change) By: Ahmad Musahari Freelance Writer, A Tausug  asmusahari@gmail.com "In great sufferings and trials, we will see how united brothers can be." After the February 3, 2011 Calamity that fell upon our homeland Sulu, a wave of sadness and wordiness also swept our heart just as the flood swept the homes of our Tausug Brothers. At first we, Tausug students from Marawi (a place far away from Sulu), felt helpless; thought that there is nothing we can do but pray. Perhaps, it might have been that way, until we decided to try, just try to do something to help. And then we made a great change. These are the people and their actions that made this simple project possible; that started from practically nothing but our 'concern and love' to our fellow Tausugs and brothers in Islam. I wanted to thank these people for making our hearts captivated with joy. Only Allah can give the reward that you all deserved....
